RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in Adult Emergency Department at Level 1 trauma and teaching facility
• 3 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Work every third weekend
• 36-hour orientation period
• Care for patients aged adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Daily census of 60-80 patients with approximately 1000 visits per day
• 64 rooms and 64 beds available
• Required certifications: CPI, TNCC, ACLS, BLS
• Must be skilled in stroke care, continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation, burn care, psychiatric holds, and triage
• Experience required with arterial line management, IV paralytics, vasopressors, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patients, and pulmonary artery lines
• Handle trauma, burn, medicine, surgical, and psychiatric emergencies
• Perform conscious sedation procedures
• Float within scope if needed
• BSN preferred
• Virginia or compact state license must be in hand at time of submittal
• Natural nail policy enforced
• Fingerprinting required with 15-20 business day processing time
• Complete modules during orientation week
