Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 13-week contract with 3 shifts per week (3x12's)
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Must have telemetry skills and on-unit monitoring experience
• Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Floating required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed
• Care for post-catheterization patients
• Navy scrubs required
• Epic charting system
• Free parking provided
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Must live at least 75 miles from facility (locals not accepted)
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including gallbladder surgery, appendix surgery, hysterectomy, chest pain rule out, nausea/vomiting rule out, sepsis, and heart failure

Facility:

This community hospital features 240 staffed beds with a 16-bed ICU and provides comprehensive medical services to the local community. The facility maintains a 33-bed Med Surg Telemetry unit with a daily census of approximately 30 patients and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretaries.
