Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM (4x12s available by request)
• Float between ICU, PCU, and Medical Surgical units throughout the shift
• Must be comfortable working all three specialties with patient ratios up to 1:6
• Staffing needs re-evaluated every 4 hours - may float 2-3 times per shift
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in 6-week block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• 2 years of ICU experience from large Level I/II facility required
• Experience required in IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial line management, central line care
• Skilled in BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, and suctioning
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and titrating cardiac drips
• Must manage continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, and IV insulin protocols
• ICU ratio: 2:1 | PCU ratio: 5:1 | MS ratio: 6:1 (may flex to 7:1)
• 24-hour orientation provided
• First-time travelers accepted

Some units will work with schedules, float pool is not worth it, The Mountain and West of the building is very much harder work.
Cons
Patients are very thankful, Doctors are available, pay is good. The Cafe is good. I would work here if this hospital was else where.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
