Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg Tele
Job Details:
• Work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float to other units as needed based on census
• Care for patients with liver, kidney, and pancreatic diseases
• Manage recipients of liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants
• Provide care for patients with complex gastrointestinal disorders
• Serve as med-surg/tele overflow unit
• Adult patient population with daily census of 32 patients
• 32 rooms and 32 beds on unit
• Required skills include MS/Tele, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care/management, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE, feeding tube care and management, and liver transplant experience
• California nursing license required
• BLS certification required (must be AHA certified)
• Transplant experience specifically with liver, kidney, and pancreas required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• May float to other locations if census is low on home unit
• 7-year work history verification required
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Only one holiday will be approved for time off
• 50-mile travel requirement

The facility performs sophisticated procedures including Whipple procedures and other advanced abdominal surgeries. The unit provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
