Description
Opportunity:
RN - IMC
Job Details:
• Float position requiring willingness to work across multiple units including IMC, Telemetry 1 (cardiac), Telemetry 2 (non-cardiac), and Medical/Surgical units
• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week contract
• No on-call responsibilities
• 4:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• Must have 3 years of experience with travel experience required
• Active Virginia license or Compact license required at submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Cardiac Telemetry
• Required skills: PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience, management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, use of rapid response teams, pre/post cardiac catheterization experience, central line and PICC line management, heparin protocols, managing and titrating cardiac drips, isolation precautions
• Preferred skills: NIH, starting IVs, traumatic brain injury experience, peripheral nerve block catheters, surgical drains, wound care/wound vac
• Epic charting system experience required with mandatory orientation classes
• Care for patients with advanced airway management needs including tracheostomies, ventilators, high flow oxygen, BIPAP, cardiac drips, chest tubes, and Zephyr valves
• Treat patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions, CHF, MI cases, angina, pericardial disease, dysrhythmias, and post-procedural cardiac patients
• Must complete up to 7 hours of non-billable modules during orientation
• Smoke/nicotine free facility

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
