Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Patient ratios: Days 1:6, Nights 1:7, Weekends 1:8
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must live more than 50 miles from facility (locals not accepted within 75 miles)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule out
• Essential skills include Med Surg/Telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management, IV care, stroke and seizure management, substance withdrawal care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and isolation precautions
• Float assignments required
• Any nursing uniform color scrubs acceptable
• NY license required in hand to submit
• Pre-start modules required (up to 5 billable hours)

This healthcare facility operates a 25-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with a daily census of approximately 20 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and requires experienced travel nurses to provide quality medical surgical and telemetry services to adult and geriatric populations.
