Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Patient ratios: Days 1:6, Nights 1:7, Weekends 1:8
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience is mandatory
• Must live more than 50 miles from facility (no local candidates accepted)
• Floating to other units required
• NY nursing license required in hand to submit
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• 12-hour orientation provided
• Any nursing uniform color acceptable
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule out
• Skills include: telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response/code team use, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, IV management, CVA care, seizure disorders, substance withdrawal, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, and isolation precautions
• Unit has 25 beds with daily census of 20 patients
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary
