Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work in a Med Surg Telemetry unit with 4:1 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend schedule required
• On-call shifts as needed
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Must float to other units within scope of practice as needed
• May float to Ashby or Herrick Campus depending on census
• 1.5 hours notice typically given prior to floating with shuttle provided
• Required certifications: NIHSS, ACLS, BLS (all must be AHA certified)
• California RN license required at time of submission
• Must have telemetry experience; EKG experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required for submission
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including stroke, TIA, CHF, sepsis, and cardiac conditions
• Provide assessment, coordination, delivery and evaluation of nursing care
• Deliver holistic and individualized patient care in acute care setting
• Collaborate with healthcare team members and communicate with patients and families
• Monitor patient interventions, assess therapies, and evaluate outcomes
• Document all treatment information in electronic health record
• Serve as clinical resource and mentor to newly hired staff
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 7-year work history verification required
• Modules completed during orientation through e-learning system
