Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on 9th Floor Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with medical surgical telemetry patients
• Maintain 5:1 patient ratio during days, nights, and weekends
• Work every other weekend as required
• On-call availability as needed
• Must be flexible with floating to other units within scope of practice
• May float to Ashby or Herrick Campus rehab units depending on census
• Receive 1.5 hour notice prior to shift start for floating assignments with shuttle transportation provided
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: CA RN License, ACLS, BLS (all certifications must be AHA)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must complete facility modules during orientation (1-5 hours average)
• Care for adult patients with various diagnoses including bariatric surgery, CBI, prostatectomy, and colostomy patients
• Provide comprehensive nursing care including assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Maintain patient ratios and provide direct patient care, education, and care transitions
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 7-year work history verification required
