Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• 12-week assignment with option to sign for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Start date 3-4 weeks out per compliance tier
• Patient ratio 1:6
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Every other weekend requirement
• Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS
• No on-call requirements
• Will float within scope to meet facility needs
• Guaranteed hours provided
• Must pass Relias EKG exam with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Med/Surg and Telemetry experience preferred
• Care for acute medicine population including diabetes, renal issues, COPD, abdominal rule outs, and cancer patients not receiving current chemotherapy
• Does not care for surgical patients
• Navy blue scrubs required
• EPIC charting system
• Skills required include telemetry, blood product administration, central line blood draw, phlebotomy, PICC line management, IV management, insulin administration, PCA, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP management, wound care, and isolation precautions
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• RTO limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract

This major healthcare facility is a Magnet and Teaching Hospital with Level I Trauma Center designation, featuring 1,266 total staffed beds. The medical-surgical unit maintains a daily census of 21 patients across 24 beds in 15 rooms. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. Bedside procedures may include thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertion, and simple suture/debridement procedures.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
