Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for all shifts
• May float to other departments based on unit needs
• No call requirements
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract
• 36 hours of orientation required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS, MENDS
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must be comfortable with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Care for patients with hip fractures, osteomyelitis, cellulitis, acute kidney injury, pneumonia, bowel obstructions, and general medical/surgical conditions
• May care for COVID patients
• Skills include IV management, central line blood draws, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP, wound care, blood product administration, and total joint replacement care
• Work with special equipment including bucks traction and telemetry monitors
• Tobacco and fragrance free facility
• Manager interview required

Facility:

This community hospital provides comprehensive medical and surgical services with a 24-bed medical/surgical unit that maintains a daily census of approximately 20 patients. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various other specialized services. The hospital performs total joint arthroplasties and spinal fusions, and maintains modern equipment and technology to support patient care.
