Description
Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PACU
Job Details:
• 2 years of experience preferred with all surgeries except cardiac procedures
• Experience with pediatric patients required and critical care strongly preferred
• Must assist with coverage in Pre-Op department
• Level II trauma experience preferred
• Patient ratio of 2:1 during day shifts
• Call required with minimum of 1 weekend shift per contract
• Must have experience recovering patients from Plastics, Urology, Dental, and GYN surgeries
• Experience required with monitoring patients with nerve blocks, chest tube insertions, central lines, intubation, and arterial lines
• Must orient to Pre-Op Holding as nurses float between connected PACU and Pre-Op areas when needed
• Care for patients of all ages from 8 months to 100+ years old
• Daily census of 30 patients with 21-bed unit
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions allowed
• On-site drug screening required
• Ready to start within 3-5 weeks preferred
• Local candidates within 50-mile radius not accepted

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
