Description

RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• 24 hours of call per 6-week schedule period as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Will rotate primarily between PACU and pre/post interventional radiology area within PACU unit
• Minimum 1 year of critical care experience or Level I Trauma Center experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• No weekend requirements
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, Vents, IV start, Telemetry
• Must pass Relias EKG exam and demonstrate interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Float within service line as needed
• No more than 7 days RTO allowed
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility
• Manage complicated postoperative patients including multiple drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia
• Care for surgical patients including GU, GYN, Colorectal, minimally invasive procedures, Bariatric, and some ENT cases
• Treat patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Navy scrubs required
• 40-hour orientation provided

This is a major academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center with 1,266 total staffed beds. The facility operates as a short-term acute care hospital with teaching capabilities, featuring the Parkview Tower location. The PACU department provides comprehensive post-anesthesia care with advanced monitoring capabilities and interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, and rapid response teams. The facility utilizes EPIC charting systems and maintains high standards for complex surgical and trauma patient care.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
