Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other Saturday/Sunday weekend requirement with holidays as needed
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for all shifts (days, nights, weekends)
• Occasional floating required
• 12-hour orientation provided
• Self-scheduling available
• Only one holiday time off will be approved
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• 2 years of ICU experience required
• Travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Required certifications: CA RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS (within 180 days), TNCC (within 180 days), NIHSS (within 90 days)
• Must maintain certifications through AHA or American Red Cross
• Provide assessment, coordination, delivery and evaluation of nursing care in acute patient setting
• Deliver holistic and individualized care incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
• Care for adult patients with various diagnoses including neuro intensive care, surgical intensive care, post-cardiac surgery patients
• Manage complex equipment including FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring, pulmonary artery lines, arterial lines, ventilators
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, manage continuous IV sedation and paralytics
• Handle emergency medications and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• 7-year work history verification required

The facility provides advanced critical care services with extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes electronic learning modules for staff education and competency validation.
