Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Provide direct nursing care for patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Manage care assignments with 5:1 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends
• Work in a 24-bed unit with daily census of 17 patients
• Self-scheduling with weekend coverage required
• Call shifts may be required depending on census
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Must have 2 years of nursing experience minimum
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (all must be AHA certified)
• California RN license required at time of submission
• Perform telemetry monitoring, access and manage ports, phlebotomy, PCA management
• Provide care for patients with CHF, COPD, diabetes, CVA, pneumonia, sepsis, and post-surgical conditions
• Manage tracheostomy care, feeding tubes, blood product administration, central line care
• Handle chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, wound care
• Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 7-year work history verification required
• Complete e-learning modules during orientation (1-5 hours average)
