RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:

• Work as a circulating nurse in CVOR (scrubbing NOT required)
• Available shift options: 8-hour shifts, 10-hour shifts, or 12-hour shifts
• Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week (8 and 10-hour shifts), 36 hours per week (3 twelve-hour shifts), or 48 hours per week (4 twelve-hour shifts)
• Float required to other OR specialties
• Call required: approximately 100 hours per 6 weeks with 1 call weekend per 6 weeks (Friday evening to Monday morning)
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted if they have Level I Trauma experience
• BLS certification required
• Travel experience required
• Must have Indiana, compact, or Indiana temporary license in hand prior to start
• Perform specialized procedures including heart and lung transplants, aortic dissections, and ECMO
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• Must provide 2-3 days of interview availability when submitting

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility operates as a comprehensive medical center with multiple units totaling over 700 staffed beds across different locations. The facility specializes in complex cardiac and thoracic procedures, including heart and lung transplants, and maintains advanced capabilities for high-acuity cases. The organization utilizes Cerner charting systems and maintains an average daily census of 70-80 patients in the CVOR unit with 24 available rooms.
