RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on a 19-bed Medical Surgical Telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac diagnoses
• Day/evening patient ratios are 5:1 (stretch to 6-7), night ratios are 6-7:1 (stretch to 8-10 if staff calls in)
• 1 year of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Every other weekend requirement
• Must float within scope to meet facility needs between like units
• Block scheduling available but not guaranteed
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience is a hard requirement
• New York license required in hand to submit
• Mandatory competency with phlebotomy and IV placement required for all RNs
• Required skills include: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response teams, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions
• Scrub color requirements: any combination of navy and white
• Maximum 1 week RTO allowed in contract
• Candidates within 75 miles of facility not accepted
• Modules completed pre-start (up to 5 billable hours, total may reach 10 hours)
