Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 or 4x12 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Patient ratios of 1:6-7 (normal 1:6 ratio, may flex to 1:7 with unplanned absences)
• Every other weekend requirement
• On-call PRN for low census situations
• Float within scope to meet facility needs and between like units
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Skills required: Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Insulin protocols, Rapid Response
• Care for adults and geriatrics with daily census of 34-36 patients per unit
• Manage patients with diabetes, hypertension, CVD, renal disease, oncology, COPD, pneumonia, CHF, MI, and post-surgical patients
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks (guaranteed hours consideration)
• During hurricane season (June-November), may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Complete approximately 4 hours of non-billable modules pre-start

The facility utilizes Epic charting system and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The organization maintains modern equipment and specialty services to support complex patient care needs including wound vacs, specialty beds, and telemetry monitoring.
