Description
Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
• 2 years of experience required, 3 years preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must live more than 150 miles from the facility
• May be required to float to other campus or floors - flexibility required
• Self-scheduling system
• 5 weekend days required during 6-week schedule
• Float coverage to Mother Baby unit or North Campus as needed
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
• Care for neonates, primarily those greater than 34 weeks
• Skills include: attending high risk deliveries, NICU II care, administration of blood products, IV starts and maintenance, UAC/UVC procedures, neonatal dosage calculations, medication administration, lumbar puncture assistance, APGAR scoring, developmental care, patient/family teaching, phlebotomy, thermoregulation
• Equipment experience: Bubble CPAP, suctioning, High Flow Nasal Cannula, high frequency ventilation, oxygen delivery systems
• Handle conditions including neonatal abstinence syndrome, meconium aspiration, respiratory distress syndrome
• Charting system: Altera experience preferred but not required
• Travel experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Must complete facility drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing
• Complete lab requirements within 72 hours of accepting offer
• Non-billable modules completed during orientation (6-8 hours average)

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
