RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• May work every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Epic charting experience required
• 32 hours of orientation provided
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Experience with PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown settings required
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management skills needed
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration experience required
• Central and peripheral line care experience necessary
• Medication administration including cardiac drips (no titration)
• Respiratory support including nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• Use of rapid response/code teams and isolation precautions
• May work without CNA support
• Floating within skillset to other PCU or medical-surgical units required
• Serve adult and geriatric patient population
• Daily census of 27 patients
• Hospitalist PCU with primary Pulmonary/GI focus
• No ventilator beds on this unit
• 1 year of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
