RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 2 years of ICU experience required
• Travel experience required
• First time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale (CCRN preferred)
• Indiana state license must be in hand prior to start date
• Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Scrub color: red top, black bottoms
• Charting system: Cerner
• Free parking provided
• Work in 14-bed ICU with open heart program and neurosurgery capabilities
• Care for stroke patients, level 2 trauma patients, STEMI cases
• Experience with ECMO, IABP, CRRT, manual proning, and sepsis protocols
• Work with specialized equipment including NxStage CRRT, IABP, Arctic Sun, Air Tap
• Two supervisor references required

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility features 194 staffed beds and operates as a level 2 trauma center with comprehensive cardiac and neurological services. The facility maintains a 14-bed ICU that can flex up to 20 patients when needed, featuring an open heart program, neurosurgery capabilities, and stroke unit designation. The facility utilizes a closed ICU model with 24/7 intensivist coverage and serves as a community hospital supporting a large surrounding area with capabilities for STEMI care, ECMO stabilization programs, and advanced critical care interventions.
