Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• Work in Cardiovascular/thoracic, Transplant & Robotics (Thoracic) unit
• Minimum 2 years of experience required - unit accepts first time travelers
• Call requirements include 1 day per week and 1 weekend every 4 weeks (subject to change based on departmental needs)
• Weekend coverage included in call requirements
• Float within facility/scope of practice and to Main OR as needed
• Work with patients of all ages including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Holiday work requirements: work 1 major holiday if 1 falls during assignment, work both if 2 fall during assignment, work 2 of 3 if 3 fall during assignment
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Required skills include General OR, Hybrid OR, CVOR, Community hospital, Trauma experience
• Experience with cardiac procedures including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, VAD
• Experience with vascular procedures including AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, bypass grafts
• Experience with thoracic procedures including bronchoscopy, VATS, lung resection
• Must be proficient in instrument processing, sterilization/disinfection, aseptic technique
• Must maintain care of scopes and fiber optic equipment
• Full compliance required to start on time with 2-week push back if not compliant
• Georgia or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal
• Two supervisory references highly preferred (Manager level or above)
