Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
Opportunity:
RN - CVICU
Job Details:
• 12-hour shifts with 36 or 48 hours per week available
• 16 weeks preferred contract length, but will accept 13 weeks
• Patient ratio of 1:2 during all shifts
• Every other weekend required
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Must have 2 years of Cardiac/CVICU ICU experience required
• Travel experience required
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Must live at least 75 miles from facility
• Will float within service line when needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Navy blue scrubs required
• EPIC charting system experience preferred
• Must pass Relias EKG exam
• Care for high acuity cardiac patients including acute heart failure, CHF exacerbation, post cardiac arrest, cardiogenic shock, arrhythmias
• Manage ventilators, arterial lines, pulmonary artery catheters, pacemakers, impellas, balloon pumps, LVADs
• Handle vasoactive drips, central lines, dialysis, and PA/TVP catheter monitoring
• Up to 2 time-off requests allowed, maximum 40 hours total during contract
• No time off allowed during first week of assignment
Facility:
This is a 1,266-bed Magnet designated teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center that provides comprehensive cardiovascular intensive care services. The facility features a 20-bed CVICU with modern equipment including intra-aortic balloon pumps, LVADs, and Impella devices. The unit maintains a daily census of 14 patients and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
