RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Provide nursing care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients on a 38-bed medical surgical telemetry unit
• Manage patient ratios of 5-6 patients with a daily census of approximately 35
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule (Saturday/Sunday)
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• 2 years of nursing experience required with travel experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must be comfortable with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Skills include cardiac care (post-angiogram, post-MI, cardiac catheterization), IV management, central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration
• Experience with chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, wound care/wound vac required
• Must be proficient in managing cardiac and vasoactive drips, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols
• Handle pre/post hemodialysis management, feeding tube care, orthopedic trauma patients
• Charting system experience required (Altera preferred but not required)
• Must complete mandatory drug screening upon arrival including marijuana testing
• License must be in hand with submittal and certifications verified
• Must be available to complete required lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer
• Hard document deadline: Thursday 2pm CST prior to start date
• Complete non-billable modules during orientation (6-8 hours average)
