RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 schedule with rotating weekends and rotating holidays
• Self-scheduling available with no call requirements
• Patient ratios of 1:5 during days, nights, and weekends
• Must float to Medical/Surgical unit with 1:7 ratios when needed
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Care for patients with cardiac-related diagnoses, ICU downgrades, and stroke overflow
• Perform special procedures including cardiac catheterizations, stress tests, and TEEs
• Team nursing model with RN plus one unlicensed personnel
• Must actively participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• 1 year of nursing experience required, accepts first-time travelers
• Charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIH, AHA ACLS
• Must live 100+ miles from facility
• 24 hours of orientation including 16 hours non-billable
• Skills include blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, chest tube care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, telemetry, cardiac drip titration, and IV management
• Work with specialized equipment including bladder scanners, EKGs, and vein finders
• Epic charting system experience preferred

This healthcare facility operates a 38-bed Progressive Care Unit with 24/7 interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. The facility specializes in cardiac care and serves as a step-down unit for ICU patients, maintaining high standards of care with comprehensive support services and modern medical equipment.
