RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM for 5 shifts or 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM for 4 shifts
• 2 weekend call shifts per month when requesting 4 total shifts (2 weekend and 2 weeknight)
• Block scheduling with 3:1 patient ratios for days and nights
• Call required for weeknights and weekend shifts
• Float to other units as needed
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• Work with Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery patients
• Handle various surgical specialties including General, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, Ortho/Total joints, Endo/Laparoscopic procedures
• Mandatory competency required for phlebotomy and IV placement
• Care for patients of all age groups: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
• Work in 27-bed unit with interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• New York license required in hand to submit
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Must live more than 75 miles from facility
• Teal scrubs provided by facility
• Pre-start modules required (up to 5 billable hours)

The facility features modern technology including Epic charting systems and offers a wide range of surgical specialties with a dedicated 27-bed PACU unit. The hospital maintains high standards for patient care with extensive interdisciplinary support services and comprehensive orientation programs for new staff.
