RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on acute care surgical and bariatric unit with 36/36 schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Required to float to other units as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:7 for days, nights, and weekends
• Must live 100 miles from the facility
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS preferred
• Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills required include telemetry monitoring, port access/management, CVA care, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, IV starts and maintenance, wound care/wound vac, and isolation precautions
• 16 hours of non-billable orientation beginning on Sundays with online CBLs
• Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty due to census decrease
• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Care for adult patients with interdisciplinary support from physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and other departments
• Must complete drug test 12-14 calendar days prior to start date
• Fit testing required with facial hair trimmed or removed per CDC guidelines
• 4-5 hours of non-billable modules completed during orientation
