RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12 schedule or 40 hours for 8/10 schedule
• Must have 2 years of direct CVOR experience and scrub experience required
• Cardiac call required - approximately 6 minimum per month (1 per weekday and 2 weekend shifts, weekends are 24-hour shifts)
• May work up to 10 call shifts if facility is short-staffed
• Will float within scope to meet facility needs
• Must be able to see facility setup and start call immediately
• Will perform other cases if no CVOR cases available
• Required certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS (must have at time of submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
• Must be nicotine free - negative 10 panel + nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required
• EKG and pharmacy test required during orientation with maximum 2 attempts each
• Time-sensitive modules must be completed (non-billable, 6-15 hours average)
• Scrub color: Ceil Blue
• Charting system: EPIC
• Must participate in teaching activities with students and new staff
• All RTO must be included at time of submission

Facility:

This is a 230-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital that maintains Magnet status and operates as a smoke-free facility. The cardiovascular operating room department features 18 beds with a daily census of 55-60 patients. The facility specializes in comprehensive cardiac procedures including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, and advanced cardiovascular surgeries. The hospital utilizes state-of-the-art equipment including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and maintains strict quality standards for patient care and safety.
