Description

RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts with guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 3x12s or 48 hours for 4x12s
• Patient ratios of 1:5 in mixed acuity PCU/MedSurg unit
• Must be comfortable working in both PCU and MedSurg settings and float across units as needed
• Every other weekend requirement with 6 weekend shifts per contract
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 18 months of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS and BCLS (NIH preferred)
• Previous charge experience preferred with $3.00 charge pay differential available
• Must be proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post cardiac surgery care, TAVI/TAVR procedures
• Experience required with arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips and vasoactive drips
• Preferred skills include Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, pre/post cardiac cath, sheath removal, ventricular assist devices
• Care for ventilated patients and ventilator management required
• Dress code: black bottoms and red top
• Charting system: Cerner
• Free parking provided
• 36-hour orientation period
• Floating within hospital or affiliate hospitals is 100% required
• Indiana nursing license must be in hand prior to start date
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Facility:

This 210-bed short-term acute care hospital features a mixed acuity PCU/MedSurg unit with 30 private rooms equipped with overhead lifts and telemetry monitoring. The facility specializes in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, including CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR, and VATS procedures, while also serving cardiology, endocrine, and oncology patients. The hospital provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure optimal patient care outcomes.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
