Description

RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Patient ratios: 4 patients during days and weekends, 5 patients during nights
• Care for adults and geriatric patients with diagnoses including pre-liver transplant, acute/chronic liver failure, End Stage Renal disease, diabetic ketoacidosis, sepsis, respiratory failure, heart failure, and sickle cell disease
• Perform special procedures including hospice care and immunoglobulin therapy
• Manage heparin and insulin drips
• Float requirement within the facility
• Weekend coverage required
• 12-hour orientation provided
• Epic charting system experience required
• Travel nursing experience required - unit does not accept first-time travelers
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Required certifications: BCLS and ACLS (AHA certifications required)
• Must maintain Louisiana nursing license or compact license
• Facility does not accept local travelers - must reside over 65 miles from facility
• Emergency team assignment possible during emergency events with expectation to stay until event passes
• Comprehensive skill set required including telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, wound care, tracheostomy care, and pre/post procedural care

This major healthcare system operates a comprehensive medical center providing advanced patient care across multiple specialties. The stepdown unit features 34 beds with a daily census of 33 patients, offering intensive monitoring and specialized care for complex medical conditions. The facility provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and comprehensive diagnostic services to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
