RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts with guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week for 8-10 hour shifts, 36 hours per week for 3x12 shifts, or 48 hours per week for 4x12 shifts
• Weekend coverage required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 18 months of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (NIHSS preferred)
• Indiana state nursing license must be in hand prior to start date
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
• Scrub color: red top, black bottoms
• Charting system: Cerner
• Free parking available
• Special skills required: Telemetry, IV start, cardiac & vasoactive drips, BiPAP and high flow oxygen
• Level I, II, III, or IV certification required
• Ventilator experience, charge nurse experience, and conscious sedation preferred
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in cardiac and medical PCU setting
• Handle true ICU stepdown cases including heart catheterizations, BiPAP, cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Manage medications including Levo, Dopa, Nitro, Cardizem, and Amiodarone
• 27-bed unit serving as true ICU stepdown
• Travel pairs not accepted on this unit
