RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Resource Pool position allocated to Cherokee Medical Center with potential float to main campus as needed
• RN will know scheduled location ahead of time
• Patient ratios: 1:6
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• Float required within scope to meet facility needs across multiple units and campuses
• On-call required: 2 on-call shifts OR 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Must pass arrhythmia and medication test on first day orientation
• Telemetry test required upon beginning of placement
• One chance to pass cardiac dysrhythmia test - pass/fail testing required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• 2 years of experience preferred, will consider 1+ year on case-by-case basis
• Travel experience required
• Shaving may be required to pass fit test onsite
• Work with centralized telemetry monitoring with tech support
• Care for patients with sepsis, dementia, post-op, orthopedic, chest pain, and rule-out strokes
• Handle special equipment including chest tubes and wound vacs
• Strict attendance policy: more than two missed shifts per 13-week contract may result in cancellation
• All requested time off must be included on initial submission
