RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour shifts (Days or Nights) with optional 5x8 shifts available
• Serve as charge nurse every shift with $3 charge bump
• Some weekend shifts required
• 5:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Must have NY license in hand prior to submission
• Must live more than 75 miles from facility
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Travel experience required
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS
• Must have leadership experience in MedSurg within the past year
• Experience with scheduling and coaching staff required
• Floating to other units required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with medical diseases including hospice, pain control, diabetic, heart, stroke, and telemetry
• Work with trach patients on modified assignments
• Handle patients with increased oxygen requirements up to 15 liters and hi flow oxygenation
• Skills required: dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response/code team use, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions
• Complete pre-start modules (up to 10 hours total, 5 hours billable)

This healthcare facility operates a 39-bed medical surgical telemetry unit that provides comprehensive care for patients with various medical conditions. The facility features interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes EPIC charting systems for electronic medical records.
