RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 4x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float to ICU or medical-surgical units as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:3 during days, 1:4 during nights
• Must handle 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio for medical-surgical when floating
• Must have New York state nursing license in hand prior to submission
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must be located more than 75 miles from facility
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients requiring continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring
• Provide specialized care for patients needing airway management, BIPAP support, arterial lines, central lines, and titrated IV infusions
• Skills include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, respiratory care, and emergency response
• Scrub color requirement: any combination of navy and white
• One pre-approved time off request allowed per contract

This tertiary care hospital operates a 26-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) serving as a critical care step-down unit with 528 total staffed beds. The facility provides exceptional, evidence-based care using a multi-disciplinary approach and receives patients from various departments including the Emergency Department, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, and medical-surgical floors. The hospital focuses on adult acute care patients requiring specialized monitoring and treatment, with comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
