RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Provide direct and indirect patient care to post-anesthesia patients in a plastic surgery center
• Specialize in recovery care for general anesthesia patients following plastic surgery procedures
• No weekends or holidays required
• Patient ratio of 5:1 during day shifts
• Care for adolescent and adult patients
• Utilize nursing process for comprehensive patient assessment and care plan development
• Perform triage to determine level of needed services
• Administer medications and therapeutic agents as ordered
• Perform phlebotomy, skin tests, and immunizations as needed
• Document patient encounters in Epic electronic medical record system
• Provide patient and family education and advocacy
• Required certifications: CA RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS (all must be AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• Must provide Nursys verification within last 2 weeks and valid state license
• 7-year work history verification required
• Complete non-billable modules during orientation (1-5 hours average)
