RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Float between all ICU and PCU units as staffing needs are re-evaluated every 4 hours
• May float 2-3 times per shift (up to every 4 hours)
• Weekend requirement: May be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Patient ratios: PCU average 5:1, ICU average 2:1
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• 2+ years of ICU experience preferred
• Experience at a Large Level 1/2 facility required
• Clinical skills include: IV therapy with arterial line management, central/PICC line care, blood product administration
• Respiratory support: BiPAP & CPAP management, ventilated patient care
• Medication administration: continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, titration of cardiac & vasoactive drips
• Wound care including surgical wounds with drains or wound vacs
• Cardiac monitoring with dysrhythmia interpretation & management
• IV insulin protocol adherence
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• 24-hour orientation provided
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
