RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 4x12 hour shifts with day/night rotation schedule (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• 13-week contract length
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating to other units is required
• Must maintain 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio for Med Surg patients
• Must have New York license in hand - no exceptions
• Cannot start before May 2026
• Must live more than 75 miles from facility
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• EPIC charting experience is mandatory
• Must be skilled in cardiac monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience required with Rapid Response/Code teams
• Competency needed in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management
• Must be proficient with respiratory equipment including nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, and portable oxygen tanks
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols required
• Scrub color requirement: any combination of navy and white
• Pre-start modules required (billable up to 5 hours, total may reach 10 hours)

Facility:

This tertiary care hospital features 528 total staffed beds and houses a specialized 39-bed Acute Stroke Unit that combines care for acute stroke patients, other neurological disorders, and acute medical patients. The facility utilizes an adjustable acuity delivery of care model providing evidence-based care to optimize stroke treatment during primary prevention and acute care phases. The hospital maintains high standards for neurological care and emergency response protocols.
