RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 midshift schedule from 3:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Floating to Med Surg units required
• Must have New York license in hand - no exceptions
• Must be more than 75 miles from facility location
• Handle patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7 for Med Surg patients
• Required certifications: Chemo Certification, ACLS/BLS, NIHSS
• Must be proficient in EPIC charting system
• 2 years of experience required with travel experience preferred
• Care for hematology/oncology patients including those receiving chemotherapy, recovering counts, and admitted with chemo side effects
• Work with post PCI patients, pacemakers, AICDs, post MI, and cardiac pharmacological interventions
• 20 hours of orientation provided
• Scrub colors: Any combination of navy and white
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• First time travelers accepted

Facility:

This 528-bed tertiary care hospital specializes in comprehensive medical services including a 36-bed hematology/oncology unit with a developing bone marrow transplant program. The facility features a 26-bed cardiac unit focusing on post-procedural care and cardiac interventions. The hospital provides a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with opportunities for cross-training in critical care units and maintains interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
