RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule options include 3x12s or 4x12s per week
• Patient ratios of 1:6-7 (normal 1:6, may flex to 1:7 with unplanned absences)
• Every other weekend requirement
• On-call PRN for low census situations
• Float within scope to meet facility needs between like units
• 2 years of experience required
• South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIHSS
• Epic experience required
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with general medical, pulmonary, cardiac, surgical, orthopedic, and neurological conditions
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, wound care, insulin protocols, and rapid response team participation
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Hurricane season emergency response team assignment may be required from June through November

This 276-bed healthcare facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical services with specialized units for medical-surgical and telemetry patients. The facility maintains a daily census of 34-36 patients per unit and offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The organization utilizes Epic charting system and provides free parking for staff.
