RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 schedule with every other weekend coverage
• No call responsibilities required
• Patient ratios of 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends
• Must be comfortable floating to Medical-Surgical unit with 1:7 ratios
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• 24 hours of orientation including 16 hours of non-billable orientation
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online CBLs
• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in 10-bed PCU unit
• Skills include managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP, blood product administration, central line care, chest tubes, feeding tubes, telemetry monitoring, cardiac and vasoactive drips titration, and wound care
• Must live 100 miles from facility
• Drug test must be completed within 12-14 calendar days prior to start
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for fit testing per CDC guidelines
• Non-billable modules averaging 4-5 hours completed during orientation

This healthcare facility operates a 10-bed Progressive Care Unit providing intermediate level care between ICU and medical-surgical units. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary support. The organization maintains 24/7 phlebotomy, rapid response team, and supervisor support across all units, ensuring quality patient care and staff support.
