RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work in Med Surg Telemetry unit with 1 year of experience required
• Day/evening ratios are 5:1 (stretch 6-7), night ratios are 6-7:1 (stretch 8-10 if staff calls in)
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float within scope to meet facility needs between like units
• BLS certification required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• Mandatory competency with phlebotomy and IV placement required
• Must be comfortable with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with rapid response teams, peripheral line care/management required
• Work with nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks
• Non-invasive airway management and isolation precautions required
• Care for patients with acute respiratory failure, CHF, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, sepsis
• Work with special equipment including BIPAP, CPAP, high flow ventilators, trach, chest tubes
• Manage Amiodarone drips
• Scrub colors: any combination of navy and white
• 4 hours of orientation provided
• Unit has 18 rooms with 19 beds and daily census of 19 patients
• PCT staff available for vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living
• New York license required in hand to submit
• Candidates within 75 miles of facility not accepted
• RTO cannot exceed 10 days per contract
• Pre-start modules required (billable up to 5 hours)
