RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 5x8 hour shifts with firm coverage requirements
• Call shifts Monday-Friday from 2:30 PM to 6:00 AM, averaging 10 days of call per month
• Weekend shifts are on-call and vary based on staff availability
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Must be able to circulate procedures and perform hemodynamic recording/charting
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Daily census averages 10 patients with 5 procedure rooms and 8 beds
• Required certifications: NIH, BLS, ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Must be comfortable with diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, interventional procedures, electrophysiology lab work, and cardiac implant procedures
• Experience needed with IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, pacemaker/defibrillator procedures, and various cardiac interventions
• Knowledge of antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, and procedural sedation required
• Must be proficient in sheath removal/monitoring, vascular closure systems, and infection prevention protocols
• Expected to work some holidays with RTO required
• On-site drug screening required
