RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Three shifts per week (3x12 schedule)
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Patient ratio of 1:6 during night shifts
• Float to other units based on need and skill set
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Travel experience required - no first time travelers
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC experience required
• Tennessee active RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Treat patients with stroke/TIA, seizures, syncope, pneumonia, chest pain, dialysis needs, acute kidney failure, post heart catheterization, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, CHF, and sepsis
• Perform specialized procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
• Work with Omnicell medication system
• Orientation provided every Monday with 24 hours of orientation
• Complete pre-assignment testing and modules within 48 hours of receiving login information
• Must be more than 100 miles from all facilities to be eligible for full rate

This healthcare facility specializes as an inpatient unit for stroke and TIA patients while also caring for higher acuity medical-surgical patients. The organization maintains a strong focus on patient experience and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary services. The facility operates a 30-bed unit with a daily census of approximately 27 patients.
