RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience in critical care or PACU in an acute care setting required
• Minimum 2 years experience with airway management required
• Experience with central lines and post procedure care in critical care/PACU environment required
• California RN License required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (must be AHA or American Red Cross)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Provide competent care to patients with cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, neurological, renal and endocrine conditions
• Care for sepsis, carcinoma, pre- and post-operative surgical patients, and pediatric patients
• Recognize life threatening conditions and intervene appropriately
• Identify patients at risk for injury and skin breakdown
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions using electronic health record
• Develop, implement and coordinate interdisciplinary patient/family care plans
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and in-depth knowledge of nursing process
• Complete unit specific orientation and competencies in timely manner
• Must meet 50 mile travel requirement
• Only one holiday will be approved for time off
