RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 34-bed neuroscience blended Progressive Care Unit
• Must have strong neuroscience experience with minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Care for adults and geriatric patients with neurological conditions
• Patient diagnoses include stroke, seizures, dementia, neuromuscular disorders, neurosurgery, and ENT cases
• Unit serves as primary for Neurology, Neurosurgery, and ENT services
• 6 progressive care patients and 15 total telemetry patients
• Required skills: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring
• Must be proficient with EPIC charting system
• BLS certification required
• BSN preferred
• VA or compact state license must be in hand at time of submittal
• Weekend coverage required with every other weekend and 2 holidays per contract
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Float within scope when needed
• Natural nail policy enforced
• Self-scheduling available
• One pre-approved time off request allowed
• 2 references required
• Complete 6 hours of non-billable modules during orientation week

Facility:

This major medical center operates a specialized 34-bed neuroscience progressive care unit that provides comprehensive care for complex neurological conditions. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. The unit maintains a daily census of approximately 30 patients and is equipped to handle stable ventilator patients in progressive care settings.
