RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3 x 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with rotating weekends
• No on-call requirements
• Maintain 4:1 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends
• Work in an 8-bed MST overflow unit with 13 total beds and daily census of 13
• Provide comprehensive patient-family centered care for adult patients
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• California RN licensure required
• 1 year of Medical/Surgical Stepdown experience required
• 2 years of experience required for submission
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Skills required: Cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, MS/Tele, telemetry monitoring
• Epic charting experience preferred
• May float to other locations if census is low on home unit
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• 7-year work history verification required
• Modules completed during orientation (1-5 hours average)
• 50-mile travel requirement applies

This healthcare facility operates a progressive care unit/stepdown unit that provides intermediate-level care for patients requiring more monitoring than general medical-surgical units but less intensive care than ICU settings. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.
