Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
Opportunity:
RN - SICU
Job Details:
• High acuity ICU position with 1:2 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• Float requirement to other ICUs and SDUs
• Weekend coverage required with self-scheduling
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adults and geriatrics in 32-bed unit with daily census of 28
• Must have 2 years of experience in specialty and travel experience required
• Epic experience required
• Experience with PA catheters and balloon pumps preferred
• CVICU skills: Caring for post-op CABG, valve replacement/repair, aortic dissection, IABP, PA Cath
• SICU skills: General post-op care for surgical recovery patients
• Transplant Recovery experience required: Liver, heart, lungs, kidney, pancreas
• Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale Certification
• Louisiana or Compact license required in hand upon submittal
• Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• May be assigned to "Emergency Team" during emergency events with expectation to remain at facility
• No block scheduling requests accepted
• No call-ins permitted

This major medical center operates a comprehensive 32-bed surgical intensive care unit that provides high-acuity care for cardiac surgery patients, transplant patients, general surgery cases, and medicine/cardiac overflow patients. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and requires specialized experience in transplant recovery across multiple organ systems.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
