RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in Emergency Department with 1:4 patient ratios
• Minimum 2 years recent specialty experience required with full year in-specialty experience within past 12 months
• Weekend requirement: Every third weekend or 8 weekend shifts in 6-week schedule period
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract period
• Navy scrub color required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS, PALS
• Must have previous charge experience and travel experience
• Float to all metro emergency departments as needed - requires Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed
• Care for patients of all ages: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
• Handle approximately 143 visits per day in 32-room emergency department
• Manage complex emergency cases including trauma, cardiac events, psychiatric emergencies, and pediatric conditions
• Perform advanced procedures including IV therapy, phlebotomy, respiratory care, and cardiac monitoring
• Work in STEMI and Stroke certified facility
• Complete EPIC training modules and equipment training prior to start date
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• No local candidates accepted (must live 75+ miles from facility)

The facility provides advanced emergency care with full interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and transportation. The emergency department is equipped to handle a high volume of patients with complex medical needs, offering specialized care for both adult and pediatric populations in a modern healthcare environment.
