RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating to other units as needed
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for all shifts
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Work with patients diagnosed with sepsis, acute respiratory failure, pneumonia, cellulitis, asthma/COPD, syncope, and chest pain
• Care for patients across all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Unit has 19 rooms and 26 beds with daily census of 24 patients
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and California nursing license
• Must have 2 years of experience with cardiac telemetry and medical-surgical/telemetry experience
• Epic charting system experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Must complete various clinical skills including cardiac monitoring, IV management, wound care, and medication administration
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 7-year work history verification required
• Non-billable modules completed during orientation averaging 1-5 hours
