RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with call required
• 2 years of experience in operating room required
• Must live 150 miles or more from facility
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Travel experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Charting system experience required (any system), Altera experience preferred
• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Patient ratio of 5:1 during day shifts
• Extensive surgical skills required including: lobe resection, lung resection, thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repairs, laparoscopic procedures, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, fracture reductions, laminectomy, spinal fusion, joint replacements, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and general OR procedures
• Additional skills include: fire safety, cell saver, blood product administration, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling, universal protocol procedures, and wound management
• Must complete facility drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing
• License in hand required with submittal
• Certification verification required
• Must complete lab requirements within 72 hours of accepting offer
• Average 6-8 hours of non-billable modules during orientation
